Ring of Grim crest

The Code

Be honorable.

Two words on the ring of the crest. Everything the Ring asks of a man, and everything it promises him, is inside them.

The GRIM Freedom Manifesto

“Today as always, men fall into two groups: slaves and free men. Whoever does not have two-thirds of his day for himself, is a slave.”Friedrich Nietzsche

A free life minimizes unchosen constraints. Freedom means living every hour according to what you truly value, serving your mission and your loved ones.

Time is your most valuable asset, not money. Money can be lost and made back. Lost time is lost forever.

Why is it called Grim?

Because it won’t be easy. Real freedom never is.

Reading the shield

Four quarters. Four freedoms.

Nothing on the crest is decoration. Each quarter of the shield is one of the four freedoms of the GRIM Freedom Framework.

The quartered GRIM shield: crosses, skull, spade and key
Upper left · The crosses

Freedom of Health

“The cross, representing the changing cycles of our life. Day and night. Action and rest.”

Upper right · The skull

Inner Freedom

“Once you lose your fear of loss, pain and death, you start living.”

Lower left · The spade

Financial Freedom

“Financial freedom is not easy. It is the ace of spades in the game of life.”

Lower right · The key

Freedom of Movement

“GRIM carries the key, literally.”

The shield itself

To keep your freedom, you need a shield.

Shield your data. Your assets. Your resources. Your communication. Your health. Your mind. Your spirit.

The brotherhood is part of that shield. Men who know you, vouch for you and stand next to you when something comes for what you have built.

Reliability. Integrity. Responsibility. Discipline. Family. Faith. Mutual service.

The three times

Your life is a river.

Right now, your river splits into three channels. Only one gives you life. The other two take it.

I

System Time

Your river turns a wheel for the machine. You trade hours for paper, for security. You function. You maintain. You leave tired.

Buy time with money, never money with time.

II

Stolen Time

The river seeps into poisonous grounds. Consumption. Doom scrolling. Outrage. Feels like relief. But nothing grows.

Digital, consumer, comfort, conflict, medical and speed capture.

III

Sovereign Time

The river flows into your valley. Your Tree of Life grows here. You create. You learn. You love. You build. You serve.

Sovereign time always lets you leave larger than you arrived.

Will this increase or decrease my Sovereign Time? The sovereign question, before every purchase, investment, project or job.

Be honorable

From the GRIM Freedom Manifesto

The GRIM Values

All virtue is built on voluntary discomfort. Easy today means hard tomorrow. Hard is GRIM. GRIM today means freedom tomorrow.

Growth

You grow every day. A master’s mind is a beginner’s mind.

Truth

Testing assumptions and validating information rather than simply believing the story that makes you feel something.

Diligence

Show up every day. Especially when you don’t want to.

Reliability

Keep the word you speak, every day.

Temperance

Govern your appetite, resist sedation, and control your emotions.

Courage

Face pain, failure and uncertainty instead of retreating into comfort.

Determination

It will be GRIM. You will fail. You will rise. You will continue.

Sacrifice

Freedom is never free. Give a grim gift every day.

Thrift

Spend less. Need less. The richest man is the one who needs least.

Incorruptibility

GRIM can not be bought, because freedom and honor outweigh money and possessions.

Family

The first line of resistance is a family. Protect your people.

Mentorship

Each one teach one. You found the path, now light the way.

These values are what a GRIM will call honorable.

In daily life

What a Grim looks like.

  • A Grim starts the day in silence with a book, not with technology.
  • A Grim carries analogue weapons. Cash. A journal. A mechanical watch.
  • A Grim reads while others scroll.
  • A Grim takes a full day off technology every weekend.
  • A Grim works out every day so his body can carry him into old age.
  • A Grim trades comfortable obedience for the daily pursuit of freedom.
  • A Grim gets free, and then helps others to get free.
  • A Grim carries a Ring that can not be bought. It has to be earned.

What we are not

So there is no confusion.

Not a network

The Ring of Grim is not merely a “network.” It is a living myth. A story that has chosen you.

Not self-help

You don't just drift through the Ring. You ascend. This isn't self-help. This is self-conquest.

Not a funnel

There's No Funnel. No “Next Steps.” Only the Gate. Most groups want to convert you. We want to test you.

We are not for everyone

Are you a Grim? Test it.

See if you're a fit
